摘要
We present measurements of the C-12(p,gamma (0)) N-13/C-13(p,gamma (0)) N-14 S factor ratio at E-p = 160 keV. The overall result of 0.33 +/-0.03 is in good agreement with the value of this ratio obtained from previous experimental values of the S factors for the C-12(p,gamma (0)) N-13 and the C-13(p,gamma (0)) 14N reactions. A value for the total S factor ratio of S[C-12(p,gamma (total))]/S[C-13(p,gamma (total))]=0.24 +/-0.03 is computed by correcting the C-13(p,gamma (0)) S factor for transitions to the other intermediate states. The direct + resonance model calculation of this ratio and the impact on the CNO cycle are also explored.
