An Analytical Scheme For Power Consumption of Battery-Operated peripheral BLE nodes

摘要
In a BLE network, the peripheral BLE devices are battery-operated nodes in most applications. A peripheral node might be in sleep mode, or performing protocol or application events. In this paper, we formulate the power consumption of a peripheral BLE node. In the connection mode, our proposed method considers the multi-packet transmission as well as single packet data exchange between the central node and the peripheral node. In advertising mode, it considers advertising in all or some of the advertising channels. We bring some practical scenarios in which the use of our proposed scheme provides solution in the design of the peripheral node.
