摘要
M-type Strontium hexaferrites (SrFe12O19) have been intensively investigated during the last decades due to its technological interest as a permanent magnet, microwave devices and magnetic recording media. In present work, the strontium hexaferrite was synthesized by using a sol-gel auto-combustion method and the influences of the addition of the non ionic surfactant polyoxyethelene (20) sorbitan monoolate (Tween 80) on the synthesis procedure and the physical, magnetic and dielectric properties of the resultant nano particles have been studied. The structural and magnetic characteristics were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) techniques. The dielectric measurements were carried out over the frequency range of 2 KHz to 2 MHz at room temperature. It was observed that surfactant controls the growth of particles.
