摘要
BACKGROUND CONTEXT: Cervical anterior fusion is the standard surgical procedure for cervical spondylosis. Various types of cervical anterior intervertebral fusion devices have developed with good surgical outcome reported over a period of time. However, obtaining graft from the patient's iliac crest has created lot of morbidity and hence alternative methods were devised. Described here is one such method using Hybrid Cage System. PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to report on retrospectively collected clinical outcome of patients surgical operated with Hybrid Cage System. MATERIAL AND METHODS: 31 patients of cervical spondylosis were operated with Hybrid Cage System. The clinical results were evaluated with NCSS, VAS and radiological methods. RESULTS: Improvement in both NCSS and VAS was satisfactory and was statistically significant. Radiological evaluation (fusion angle, height ratio and C2-7 angle) was also significantly improved.
