摘要
The Death Attitude Profile-Revised has been used for the measuring of attitudes towards death in our research. This inventory consists of five dimensions of attitudes towards death. Two of them are negative, two dimensions represent positive attitudes towards death and one dimension is the neutral acceptance of death. We collected a data of 306 respondents from universities in the Czech Republic and of 140 respondents from Tel Aviv University in Israel. We used two-sample t-test to find out the difference between Czech and Israeli men, Czech and Israeli women and Israeli men who operated at combat position in the army versus those who operated at different position. There were major differences particularly at women sample, especially in 2 subscales - Approach acceptance and Escape Acceptance; other major differences were found at the sample of Israeli men who served at the combat position versus non-combat position in the army on the subscale Escape Acceptance. Causes of the differences as religion, culture, political situation or age and experience of the students will be discussed in our presentation as well as practical impact of our research.
