Extraction of fault signal in the electric power assisted steering based on wavelet analysis

摘要
The paper introduces the basic structure of the electric power assisted steering (EPAS) and the working principle of the EPAS fault diagnosis system. Using the wavelet analysis method to process the EPAS signal is an excellent method. In this paper the principle of the method is elaborated and we compare the two methods of hardware filtering and wavelet filtering by simulating in MATLAB. The simulation results indicate that the wavelet filtering method is not only simple and applicable, but also better than hardware filtering in the effect of filtering.
