Everybody has experienced acute pain, which is like a warning signal and whose purpose is to protect the body. But the fact that one person in four in France suffers from chronic pain is worrying in view of its negative consequences on all aspects of his life. The fight against pain is a public health priority. The pharmacist is often the first health professional to be called upon by the patient suffering from pain. (C) 2020 Elsevier Masson SAS.
