摘要
We report the design and experimental characterization of deep subwavelength optical modes (V-m similar to 10(-3) (lambda/n(si))(3)) in high quality factor dielectric photonic crystals (Q similar to 3x10(4)). Our approach offers a low-loss alternative to metals for achieving extreme light concentration.
