摘要:
The University of Wisconsin-Stout (UW-Stout) in Menonomie, Wis., educates its future engineers and scientists in Jarvis Hall, which houses a science wing, a technology wing and a science addition that was constructed in 2010. The new addition uses a dual-duct VAV system and an energy recovery chiller to save energy. The use of heat wheels to reduce the peak cooling capacity allowed the project to use the existing chiller plant without needing to add another chiller. The existing mechanical room that served Jarvis Hall also provided heated water and chilled water to an adjacent technology wing. The technology wing was not part of the project, and services had to be maintained during construction. The classroom building located on top of the existing mechanical room would be demolished to make way for a new classroom addition during Phase 2 of the project. The UW-Stout campus is very committed to efficient operation of its building systems.
