Formation of ZnS nanosized films by electron beam irradiation

摘要
ZnS is a promising luminescent materials. In-situ the formation of ZnS nanosized films and nanoparticles from ZnS particles with 2 mum under electron beam irradiation by means of TEM have been studied in the present paper. It is concluded that (1) the ZnS particles can transform into ZnS nanosized films and nanoparticles under electron beam irradiation, the intensity of which is about 1. 12 x 10(19) e/cm(2) . s, (2) the formation of ZnS nanosized films and nanoparticles are due to electron beam's ionization or stimulation effect and sputtering effect, the heating effect is not a major factor and (3) allotropic transformation of ZnS may take place under electron beam irradiation.
