摘要
This paper discusses the implementation of Vortex Suppressors in the tundish to improve steel quality. Benefits of Vortex Suppressor usage in the tundish has resulted in a 70% reduction in inclusion levels during start cast and at steady state operation. In addition prime yield start up losses on Cold Heading quality heats was reduced from 4.2% to 0.6%.
