摘要：
Using the cross-sectional data of Y province's provincial research institutes over period from 2001 to 2009, we analyzed these institutes' changes of Malmquist productivity index based on DEA-Malmquist index method. The result shows that theses institutes' low technical efficiency is mainly due to scale efficiency, and Malmquist productivity growth mainly depends on the high technological progress.
