Internet as a tool assisting the teaching and research in chemistry and chemical technology

Techniques of accessing, searching, discovering and verifying the chemical knowledge available in Internet as well as their application in education, learning and research were described. In particular, strategies for discovering chemical resources in Internet (searching and browsing), tools for aquiring chemical information (search engines, web directories, subject gateways), other chemical resources (chemical vortals, chemical services, e-journals, educational resources, mailing and newsgroup list archives) as well as chemical software packages were presented. Searching and delivering the chemical structural information were also taken into consideration.
