摘要
e-collaboration tools help researchers in conducting research in an online environment and produce better research outcomes. However, previous researches show that not all researchers willing to participate in e-collaboration and they still prefer to continue using traditional research practices and facilities. The resistances of user to participate in the e-collaboration are dependent on the user's behavior on making decision to take part and also the functions of technology provided. The reasons of why researchers reluctant to use e-collaboration are related to trust issues, lacking of peer support, self-motivation and experience of difficulty. Drawing from that, this study will investigates the factors influencing researcher's participation in e-collaboration from the perspectives of researcher's knowledge sharing behavior and technological. The factors identified can be used to enhance the e-collaboration tools that can help researchers conducting their research in online environment.
