摘要
The aim of this work was to investigate the influence of cotton and linen yams treatments at different hierarchical levels on the biocomposite tensile properties. The biodegradable poly(lactic acid) (PLA) resin was used as the matrix polymer. The water based mercerization and low pressure plasma treatment were applied for chemical modification of yams macro- and microfibrils. To improve fiber orientation of fibre bundles and single fibers the pre-tension of yarn was used. It was obtained that the most efficient is the complex yams treatment, plasma treatment with subsequent pre-tension, where especially notable was the positive effect of low-pressure plasma.
