摘要
Effect of prolonged intravenous infusions of exogenous prostaglandin E-2 on the course of arterial hypertension was studied in Okamoto-Aoki spontaneously hypertensive rats. Prostaglandin E-2 produced favorable effect on the course of hypertension. Stable lowering of blood pressure achieved by infusions of prostaglandin E-2 persisted for several months after their cessation. Changes of baroreflex blood pressure regulation and biosynthesis of endogenous renal prostaglandins were also observed. Infusions of prostaglandin E-2 improved blood supply to target organs and induced vasodilation in renal parenchyma, myocardium and brain.
