摘要
We performed a new type of bypass procedure, the stomach-partitioning gastrojejunostomy (SPGJ), for malignant pyloric obstruction, and compared the results with those of conventional gastrojejunostomy (GJ), retrospectively. The rate for taking regular meal at two weeks after operation was significantly higher in the SPGJ group. The mean survival time and the survival curve were significantly better in the SPGJ group. These results indicate that SPGJ has achieved an improved quality of life and a better prognosis, and that it is the preferred bypass procedure for malignant pyloric obstruction.
