摘要
This paper reflects the ideas, the beliefs and the perspectives of 46 teachers regarding the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the context of primary education in Greece. A first approach of the existing literature indicates that although teachers recognize the importance for ICTs to be implemented in the educational sector, they tend to be less positive about its extensive use in the classroom and far less convinced about its potential to improve teaching. The findings presented in this paper can be considered as rather positive since they demonstrate that the participant teachers recognize the importance for ICTs integration within an educational context. Moreover, this study presents evidence that teachers acknowledge the importance for students to become familiar with the use of ICTs in order to become computer literate in our, according to Castells, network society.
