摘要
In this paper, the most popular technique in the field of medical and research known as EEG (Electroencephalogram) is used in the analysis purpose for brain related abnormalities. It is extremely important to achieve accurate readings for the signal classification and signal representation. The purpose of this project was to develop a platform using LabVIEW software to acquire and record live EEG signal and to evaluate it based on certain parameters. The EEG signal was bifurcated into band named as delta band, theta band, alpha band, beta band. Here emphasis was set on the low cost raw acquisition of EEG signal with the help of a Neurosky headset. Furthermore, we discuss about the signal conditioning and signal processing to provide a platform for detecting abnormalities in EEG signals and remote monitoring based on parameters such as mean, standard deviation and variance, through the Neurosky headset device using LabVIEW.
