Construction of MoS2/Tubular-like g-C3N4 Composite Photocatalyst for Improved Visible-Light Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production from Seawater

摘要
In this work, the development of efficient and stable photocatalyst has been the central topic of scientific research. Herein, MoS2 nanosheets/tubular-likeg-C3N4 (MS/TCN) composite photocatalysts with two dimension/one dimension (2D/1D) nanostructure were fabricated through a facile solvothermal method for photocatalytic hydrogen production from seawater under visible light irradiation, exhibiting enhanced photocatalytic performance in comparison of single MS or TCN. Among of them, MS/TCN-0.5 sample (0.5%(w/w) MoS2) showed optimum H-2 evolution rate of 85.1 mu mol.h(-1) and possessed outstanding stability (no significant decrease after 4 cycles). The enhanced photocatalytic activity of MS/TCN composite photocatalyst can be attributed to the fact that the loading of 2D MS, as a cocatalyst, promotes the transfer of photo - induced electron and improves the separation efficiency of electron - hole pairs of 1D TCN.
