摘要
This work presents a new approach for the characterization of precipitation kinetics of L-glutamic acid The kinetics of nucleation, growth and agglomeration is determined from experiments by applying different measurement techniques, such as ATR-FTIR spectroscopy, the Focused Beam Reflectance Method (FBRM), Raman spectroscopy and Coulter Multisizer. Finally, the final particle size distribution (PSD) in a precipitation experiment is predicted by combination of the independently measured kinetics and population balance modeling.
