A Study of the Effects of Nonverbal Aspects on Comprehension of the SL Speech and Production of the TL Speech

Taking advantage of the relevant achievements of cognitive science and psycholinguistics, this paper analyses the information processing and the psychological process of the interpreter during interpretation, demonstrates the effects of the nonverbal aspects such as context, pertinent background information, the speaker's communicative goals and attitudes towards the subject at hand, the make-up of audience and the psychological state of the interpreter, with a view to calling the attention of the interdisciplinary exploration of interpretation.
