Design and implementation of CORBA-based integrated network management system

There have been several research works for the CORBA-based network management system (NMS). After the JIDM 's work, ITU-T's SG4, Committee T1's T1M1.5, and a number of working groups are working on the development of CORBA-based TMN framework, In this paper, we design and implement a integrated NMS platform in which manage both pure CORBA-based NMS system, and legacy SNMP/CMIP-based NMS system revising JIDM CORBA/CMIP, CORBA/SNMP gateways, For the efficient implementations, we propose a new CORBA naming service, Smart Naming (SN) service. We also design the Multiple-Object Operation (MOO) service according to T1M1.5's specification. Finally, the performance of the system has been evaluated by measuring the response time and the system resource usage to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed system.
