摘要
Among isolates of the eubacteria Brevundimonas bullata, Sphingomonas rhizogenes, Agrobacterium tumefaciens, Bacillus simplex, Acinetobacter johnsonii, Methylobacterium adhaesivum, and Deinococcus aquaticus isolated from the bottom layer on the medium, where the only source of organic matter was hydrolysate from diatoms, the activity of hydrolytic enzymes, such as proteases, beta-xylosidase, beta-glucosidase, beta-galactosidase, chitobiase, and amylase, is revealed. An algicidal effect and degradation of siliceous diatom frustules are recorded in algal-bacterial cultures. These data show that the bottom water layer of Lake Baikal is inhabited by potential participants of silicon cycle, which degrade siliceous valves of diatoms.
