摘要
Competing priorities of operational directives and efficiency projects can leave even the most experienced nurse executives with little time for the core business of caring for people. Losing sight of this imperative is not uncommon. This article examines the caring values of nurse executives. Two scenarios are provided: sharing the consequences when caring is lost, but then regained by applying the 5 essen-tials of nurse executive caring values.
