摘要
This paper presents low voltage, high performance Voltage Differencing Inverting Buffered Amplifier (VDIBA) based on bulk-driven self-cascode transistor. Bulk-driven technique and self-cascode structure are suitable for low voltage applications. Additionally, self-cascode structure is also useful for bandwidth enhancement. Using bulk-driven technique along with self-cascode transistor has improved the performance of the proposed circuit in terms of supply voltage, power consumption, input signal range and bandwidth. The proposed VDIBA operates at +/- 0.7 V with input signal range of +/- 0.4 V and quiescent power consumption of 250 mu W. Its transconductance bandwidth of 2 GHz is highest among all the existing versions of VDIBA. Small signal analysis has been done to validate the simulation results. Corner analysis has also been done to show the robustness of the circuit at different process corners. Moreover, post layout simulation has also been presented for the proposed circuit. To confirm the validity of the proposed block, it has been used to design a voltage mode universal filter. All the simulations are performed in TSMC 0.18 mu m CMOS, BSIM3 and Level 49 technology by using Cadence Spectre simulator.
