A study on the laws of roof movement in longwall with top-coal caving

摘要
The problem of, and the viewpoint on, the study of the laws of roof movement of the longwall with top-caving are put forward according to the characteristics of the mining technique in this paper. Considering the Damage Mechanics and the Rational Mechanics theories, the paper shows the laws of surrounding rock, explains the relations between ''support-surrounding'' and proposes the principles to determine support working resistance.
