摘要
In this paper, we present a hierarchical, scalable and dynamic management scheme for managing large-scale distributed networks. The proposed hierarchical architecture consists of three components: management agent(MA), domain manager (DM) and management station (MS). The system achieves scalability by modifying the number of DMs according to the size of network. This can efficiently distribute the loads and improve the reliability of the system, In order to increase flexibility, the system employs an event-based dynamic subscription approach. The dynamic subscription policy enables users to manipulate management tasks at run-time by adding or deleting events managed Moreover, the system can process sonic events and motivate new management tasks automatically based on the "knowledge" that is stored in database. This significantly improves performance of the system.
