摘要：
Metal-free, thermally promoted synthesis of 3-alkoxy-3-alkoxycarbonyl-2-azetidinones via the Wolff-Staudinger beta-lactam synthesis using dialkyl diazomalonates is described. The reaction appears fairly general and delivers only one diastereomer.
