A Heat Constraint Based Fault Tolerant Control for the Fault Tolerant Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

摘要
This paper proposes a heat constraint based fault tolerant control approach for the six-phase 10-pole/ 12-slot Fault Tolerant Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (FTPMSM) in aerospace application. First, we propose a heat equivalence principle based analytical calculation approach to calculate the copper loss of the FTPMSM under different fault modes due to the non-sinusoidal waveform of non-fault phase current. The iron loss of the FTPMSM under different fault modes is accurately calculated via the electromagnetic field finite element analysis. Second, the thermal analysis based on the thermal network is proposed for the FTPMSM, which is able to calculate the heat of the six-phase FTPMSM under different fault modes. Third, the heat constraint based fault tolerant control method is proposed, which can guarantee the long-time continuous operation with the ripple-free electromagnetic torque of the FTPMSM under fault condition. Finally, the simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
