Aiming at open-circuit fault of speed and current sensor in three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor drive system, a sliding mode observer based fault diagnosis and reconfiguration method was proposed by establishing the sliding model of the motor system to obtain the predicted currents and speed. Faults were detected by the residuals between the predicted and real signals. Aiming at current sensor fault which was detected, a V/f based control strategy was proposed to realize fault tolerant, and aiming at speed sensor fault which was detected, a direct calculation of back electromotive force based control strategy was proposed to realize fault tolerant. The convergence and tuning efforts of sliding mode observer were analyzed, and performance of healthy system and reconfigured system was compared. Experimental results show the fault can be detected and smoothly switched to tolerant system. © 2020, Harbin University of Science and Technology Publication. All right reserved.
