摘要：
An inventory model for the joint vendor-buyer venture is proposed for deteriorating items when demand is trapezoidal. It is illustrated by numerical example that the joint decision lowers the total joint cost than the independent decision of both the players. To attract the buyer to place a larger order, a permissible credit period is offered by the vendor to the buyer. A negotiation factor is incorporated to share the cost savings.
