EFFICIENCY OF INSURANCE COMPANY IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

This article focuses on the efficiency of life insurance offered by insurance companies in the Czech Republic in 2013. The efficiency is compared on the basis of the efficiency score, which is expressed using data envelopment analysis models. These models use linear programming to transform multiple inputs into multiple outputs. The indicators analyzed are premiums earned, claims incurred and operating expenses. The goal of this article is to observe whether there is a statistically significant difference in the efficiency scores of individual subgroups of insurance companies. The article verifies the null hypothesis of equal probability distribution of the expressed efficiency scores.
