摘要
This paper provides an updated and taxonomically verified checklist of Indian Amanitaceae E.J. Gilbert with the up-to-date state-wise distribution of its representative species. To date, 71 species of Amanitaceae are reported from India, of which 65 species are in genus Amanita, five in Limacella, and only a single species in Catatrama. The genus Myxoderma and Limacellopsis have not been reported yet. Many misidentified and doubtful taxa that may exist in the literature are identified and excluded and presented separately. Those species for which molecular data is available have also been outlined. The comprehensive listing of Indian Amanitaceae will provide an overall view about its diversity and distribution and will also help to identify major unexplored and under-sampled areas in which future collections needs to be focussed and taxonomic efforts should be directed.
