摘要
Tailor Rolled Blank(TRB) is worth studying due to its great development potential for auto body lightweight. The formability of TRB was studied by simulation and experiment. TRB was used for square box forming, and the effects of thickness transition zone(TTZ) position as well as blank size on the formability of TRB were analyzed. The thickness thinning and the TTZ movement of TRB square boxes in different dimensions were discussed, when TTZs were respectively located at the blank center, at the thinner side and at the thicker side. The results indicate that the simulation is able to accurately describe the experiment process. The larger the ratio of the thicker blank is, the less the thickness thinning is. TTZ located at the blank center or slightly offset to the thinner side is advantageous to restricting the TTZ movement. As the blank size enlarges, both the thickness thinning and the TTZ movement will increase.
