摘要
There are several indications for which sonography can produce results at least equal to those produced by MR imaging when evaluating the musculoskeletal system. These include evaluation of shoulder tendon abnormalities, ankle tendon abnormalities, soft tissue infection and joint effusion, soft tissue foreign bodies, soft tissue masses, carpel tunnel syndrome, development dysplasia of the hip, and other indications for which MR imaging is contraindicated. Examples of each are given using sonography and MR imaging, and each imaging method is compared and contrasted.
