Review on Orifice Plate Cavitation Characteristics

摘要
Orifice plate cavitation characteristics are closely related with discharge tunnel's safety. In the present paper, orifice plate minimum wall pressure coefficient, the effects of flow pulsation on cavitation, the effects of thickness on cavitation are researched. The researches results show that minimum wall pressure coefficient is mainly dominated by contraction ratio and this coefficient decreases with the increase of contraction ratio, flow pulsation effects and thickness effects should be taken account into carefully.
