摘要
The three-dimensional (3D) rigid endoscopic system has been developed to digitally process ordinary video signals. This 3D video system significantly improves visualization and enhances the ability of the surgeon to perform delicate endoscopic procedures. In this study we describe this system which displays the laryngeal cavity in three dimensions during endolaryngeal surgery. The system consists of the 3 D converter, a 120 Hz display monitor, an active liquid crystal shutter panel, passive polarizing glasses, a high-bright light source, a light-guide cable, and a Karl Storz video-laryngoscope model II. The 3D video system enables endolaryngeal surgery to be performed with more accuracy, speed, and safety than with a conventional video system.
