摘要
The recent trends in wireless communication systems show that the demand for devices able to operate within more frequency bands has been inflated considerably. This has enhanced the evolution of antennas that are able to be operated at multiple frequency bands. Frequency reconfigurable antennas will be benefitted and valued more comparing to conventional antennas. The uses of frequency reconfigurable antennas comprise, support to multiple telecommunications standards, ability to cope up with a changing environment, efficient use of power and spectrum, reduction of complex hardware, and lowering of the cost of the system. The most recent research works on frequency reconfigurable antennas are reviewed and encapsulated to present the categories and features in this paper.
