摘要
To study the effects of using yeast culture (YC) ''Saccharomyces cerevisiae'' in the Baladi (local) and White Leghorn layer diets, a 2x4 factorial experiment was conducted using 160 layers of the two breeds. Three levels of YC, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3% and a control diet were fed to the birds in-cages, five cages (replicates) per treatment for each breed. Egg production egg weight, feed intake, yeast intake, feed conversion and livability were affected by the intel action between breed of the bird and yeast level. Best performance was achieved when 0.3% yeast was fed to the Baladi birds and 0.2% to the White Leghorn.
