摘要
Radiated immunity tests are among the main Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) prerequisites which need to be met for any electrical and electronic product before entering the market. That gave this topic a great interest by the stakeholders from industry, where such tests are commonly performed. In general, EMC tests are performed using alternative methods since tests in laboratories are either costly or technically not possible due to different hurdles. GTEM cells are widely used for radiated immunity tests as an alternative to anechoic chambers. In this paper we present an experimental investigation of this method according to the standard EN61000-4-20 on self-made metallic Equipment Under Test (EUT) to simulate products in industrial environment. Under the same conditions and using the same receiver cables, we also present a comparison between this method and the common method employing a semi-anechoic chamber according to the standard EN61000-4-3.
