ATMOSPHERIC MERCURY POLLUTION SPATIAL-TEMPORAL EVOLUTION OF CHINA COAL CONSUMPTION

摘要
Coal combustion is the main resource of atmospheric mercury pollution. This paper estimated the atmospheric Hg emission from coal combustion of China from 1990 to 2012 based on coal consumption of China economic sectors and emission factors classified by different boilers pattern, and then described the distribution of atmospheric Hg emission of 2012, results indicated that atmospheric Hg emission from coal consumption keep increasing during recent 20 years and power plants is the main contributor of atmospheric Hg emission; spatial distribution of Hg emission mainly concentrate in eastern and central China. Economic sectors allocation of Hg emission is different for different provinces, and coal-fired power plant is the main contributor to Hg emission for most provinces.
