摘要
This work deals with security in sporting mega-events. The general objective of the study is to analyze the security of the 2018 World Cup from the perspective of the fans present in the stadiums and official parallel event (FAN FEST). Data collection for this qualitative research was carried out by a focus group carried out with fans residing in Brasilia-DF who were in Russia to watch the 2018 World Cup games in order to understand the questions formulated in the problem and in the research objectives. . The responses were analyzed following the content analysis method (Bardin, 2011). The survey revealed that fans considered safety as one of the positive aspects of the 2018 World Cup. The participants also stated that they felt safe in the competition venues and in the host cities they visited. The fans also identified risks and analyzed the security measures adopted at the referred sporting mega-event.
