SMART SUPPLY CHAIN STRATEGIES : DETERMINANTS AND RELATIONSHIP WITH SUPPLY CHAIN INTEGRATION AND SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAIN PERFORMANCE

Purpose : Following the COVID-19 pandemic, industries experienced increased volume to meet customer demand. A special combination of logistics, technologies, and innovation at supplier levels is introduced for a new level of supply chain integration that leads to sustainable supply chain operations. To examine and gain insights, this study aims to explore the effect of smart logistics, the latest smart technologies, and supplier innovativeness on supply chain integration and sustainability in supply chain performance in developing countries. Design/Methodology/Approach : Using a quantitative research design, the study gathered data from 165 supply chain professionals within the hospitality and related industries and analysed the data using PLS-SEM. Main Findings: The findings demonstrate that smart logistics, smart technologies, and supplier innovation can help integrate supply chain operations, which is leading to sustainability. Originality/Value : This research is among the first to use smart logistics, the latest communication technologies, and supplier capacity for innovation for integration and sustainability in supply chain operation and performance. Findings from this research help to develop an integrated theoretical framework to handle disruptions in supply chain operations in developing countries.
