摘要
This article is the result of reflections based on studies of Afro -Brazilian literature and its many and possible developments. The production and circulation of novels, short stories, poetry, and chronicles with black themes are an increasingly visible reality in the Brazilian literary field; and have given rise, in a cause -and -effect relationship, to critical production on this new aspect of Brazilian literature. The objective of this study was to present, albeit in a summary form, the state of the question of a critique that has specifically focused on an Afro -centered literary corpus. In the same direction, it is also intended to demonstrate the way in which it was and has been managed in a fertile and complex field of reflections and tensions located, above all, in the university sphere. To this end, this discussion evokes the critical considerations of Regina Dalcastagne (2008; 2012), Conceicao Evaristo (2009), Luiz Silva (2010), David Brookshaw (2012), Thomas Bonicci (2012), Eduardo de Assis Duarte (2014), among other researchers who study the subject. The study concludes that black literary criticism is a reality in the national literary field that has brought significant contributions to a conjectured reading of Afro-Brazilian productions.
