摘要
Nurse leaders are often promoted based on stellar clinical performance or tenure without being provided leadership training. Nurses who receive training in lead-ership competencies are shown to be more effective and confident in their roles. The General Self-Efficacy (GSE) Scale was used to measure the participants pre/post competence and confidence in their leadership skill. The results showed a statisti-cally significant difference in the pre-and post-GSE scores of leaders who partici-pated in the leadership development program. This project demonstrated that providing leaders with a leadership development curriculum improved their lead-ership competence and confidence.
