摘要
Corrugated horn antennas provide highly symmetrical and efficient radiation performance, being useful for transferring power wirelessly, due to its high gaussian coupling efficiency. Hence, a device working at 28 GHz was designed. Nevertheless, time-modulated arrays (TMA) present significant advantages, and this paper aims to study how the radiation performance of the corrugated horn can be replicated using a 8x8 patch TMA. To achieve this, a comparison between one plane of each antennas' far field was performed, and the TMA parameters were optimized to best approximate them. Finally, due to the uniqueness theorem, it is expected that the antennas' near-field will also be similar, being here compared through their electric field.
