Effect of Ti Content on Microstructure and Properties of Laser-Cladded FeCoNiAlTiy HEA Coatings on P110 Steel

摘要
This study aims to develop a FeCoNiAlTi high-entropy alloy (HEA) to determine its application in the coating of P110 steel. HEA coatings with different Ti contents (Ti-y coatings, y = 1, 1.5, and 2) were prepared on a P110 steel substrate through laser irradiation. Scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction were used for characterization. A nanoindenter and reciprocating tribometer were used for the Vickers hardness and wear testing. Corrosion tests were performed using an electrochemical workstation and an immersion etching solution. The results indicated that the microhardness and corrosion resistance of the HEA coating were higher than those of P110 steel. However, the HEA coating did not significantly improve the wear performance. With an increase in Ti content, the microhardness of the HEA coating increased to a certain extent, the wear resistance decreased, and the corrosion resistance first decreased and subsequently increased. The developed HEA exhibited a Vickers microhardness improvement of 51% over Ni45 steel, the wear rate was 53% lower than that of ceramic nickel-based alloy, and the corrosion current was reduced to 1% for Inconel 625 alloy and 3.3% for 316L steel.
