摘要
This study aims to understand how corporate governance mechanisms influence the management process of three small family businesses. To this end, the study by Hart (1995), which talks about corporate governance, and Leone (2005) of family businesses, is adopted. To achieve this goal, the research was conducted using a qualitative approach, using the multiple case study method. Regarding data triangulation, documentary research was used, with unsystematic observation and semi-structured interview. In turn, data analysis was carried out through content analysis. It was identified that all companies have their values and organizational identities defined since its foundation, through family interaction. It is observed that in none of the companies there is external intervention in the management process, all of which are managed in essence by family members.
