摘要
A modified complementary electric split ring resonators (CeSRRs)-based metamaterial (MTM) slow wave structure (SWS) has been presented, which provide the high average interaction impedance. The MTM SWS using modified CeSRR is designed and simulated with compatible waveguide couplers for S-band. The modified S-band CeSRR-based MTM SWS has been directly scaled to X-band. The proposed X-band MTM SWS is fabricated along with compatible waveguide couplers. As predicted by simulation, the operating frequencies of the structure occupied the range of 10.2-9.1 GHz. The high average interaction impedance of the X-band MTM SWS is compared using CST and HFSS Eigen mode solver. The measured and simulated values of the structure reflection coefficient were found in agreement within similar to 8%.
